The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometres farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road.
The new subway line will provide over 38,000 people with reliable transit within walking distance from their homes, helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.
STRABAG, an Austrian-based construction company, is working with Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario
to build the tunnel for the subway project. This segment of the project is referred to as Advance Tunnel for the Scarborough Subway Extension (ATSSE).
As part of the project, a virtual tradeshow will take place to provide information about jobs, apprenticeships and procurement opportunities related to the project and allow local vendors to showcase their businesses and services.
